Ho hum. I have played with Vista, installed. It's a eye candied XP Pro
SE with a helluva lot of anti piracy crap and DRM crap. If MS would
realize that most people are honest and take that crap off and make UAC
reasonable, I would buy Vista. Can you say the same for Ubuntu? No, you
can't because your a lying bigot whose only goal in this newsgroup is to
insult and lie about people. Your posts have NOTHING to do with either OS.

Why? "It's Free" appears to be it's only advantage.

But that's the point. Free is never as good as $. If it was it wouldn't
be free.

Let's reverse the situation. Let's say that MS has been giving away
Windows for free for the last 20 years, and in that time it managed to
barely scrape out a 1% desktop share. If you can't get people to use it
even by giving it away, what does that say about the product?

Ut, ut,ut...no more lying! Playing with Vista in a store is nothing like
installing and using Vista on your own computer.
You've not installed Vista on your computer so stop pretending like you
have.
No more lying!

I seriously doubt that.

Can you say the same for Ubuntu?

I actually installed ubuntu on my computer and used it for a short time.
I've tried many linux distros over the years (installed) and simply have
no use for linux. None. You have never installed Vista on your computer.
Never
No more lies!

No, you

Sorry pal, but that seems to be your domain. You don't have Vista, never

You are the classic definition of a troll.
Classic.
Then of course, you deny all of the above.

One doesn't have to do the actual installation to play with it. Last
Saturday, the man at the computer store let me play with it for a couple
of hours and my opinion stands, your lies notwithstanding.

I have no problems with any of that. Besides, I get all my MS software for

no advantage to me.

So there are no, real advantages to Linux? I didn't think so.
