No, I don't do prescription drugs, I only take a rare sleeping pill and
a pain killer that are available over-the-counter.

And I'm not paying some quack to help me with "a problem" I don't have.
That's what America is coming to, drug everyone up, so everyone is
trying to cope with everyone else. No thank you. I'll save my money
and use it elsewhere.

It's part of life that people get cancer, aids, or get disturbed by
'fukkin software' or anything else! Quit trying to medicate yourself
(and advising others to medicate themselves) so it's "OK".

I hate linux now, and will always hate linux at least as long as there
are OTHER operating systems to use.

But not entirely, and I was thinking of you promoting linux for use at
work, which means all tasks currently done on windows at work, must be
available to be done on linux at work. Including the executables from

I've used both Open Office and ABIWord. I haven't used Word 2007 (I
didn't say buy the Office suite, I said MS Word 2007).

Your first question doesn't make sense.

Office 2007 may not have enabled mind reading, but neither has
OpenOffice or ABIWord.

It /IS/ time large government organizations move away from proprietary
formats and binaries. But you would have to be larger than the US
Government, offer services equal or better than what Microsoft is
offering, and make a serious campaign to get everyone in US Government
(local offices, State, and National) to agree uniformly that what you're
offering is better than what Microsoft has to offer.

That's how I see the change as remotely going to happen, if it's going
to change at all. We're probably talking billions of US dollars if not
more to get that initiative underway.

Hear hear. If anything - I see Apple taking over Microsoft's own
ex-customers, not Linux. Numbers don't lie. These numbers, might I add
were coming from people's bank accounts/credit cards -- that's a statement.

Wishful thinking. You can't control what illnesses you face as you
age. That's why the health care issue is only going to get worse with
the graying of America. Now that baby boomers are approaching or just
starting retirement age they are entering the phase of life where
medical problems are more common.

Voicing your opinions on this thread is becoming very regular. So here
I go.

I enjoy Apple's OS X -- everything about it. But between Mac and
FreeBSD, it's a tossup on the desktop, I think they're both excellent
choices.

Much better than Windows and Linux, IMO.
