My PC monitor keeps turning off/going black?

Ive been having this problem for a while and i think it may be my cord (not sure) but i still want a second opinion. It only started happening recently where my pc screen will go completely black as if im unplugging it, and when it turns back on it shows the box in the corner saying “DP” as if ive plugged it back in. I never had this problem before and it only started happening when i took out my graphics card and put it back in. Is it maybe too loose in there? I couldn’t have the cord facing up like i normally do through a whole in the back on my desk so ive moved my pc out for now and it doe
