Windows 11 taskbar is horrible!

What is the deal with the Windows 11 taskbar? For starters I had to change my settings just to be able to add the "show desktop" button.Second there is no longer a popup calendar when you click on the date/time which is very annoying. Last they changed the date and time so time no longer shows am/pm and date doesn't show the year. What is going on with Microsoft?
