Why won't phone link stay connected?

It will work for a little bit, then all of a sudden it will say it lost connection, I have an older phone, it's a Galaxy S9. I can't uninstall the app, it is literally in the phone, I tried uninstalling it, and it will not let me. So, I'm unsure of what to do. I've seen other articles about this and none of their answers helped. My phone lock only has to option to stay on for 10 minutes, but it loses connection within a minute and then I have to allow the phone to cast to the PC again.
