Why is my memory usage so high?

I have a total of 16GB of memory. For example, right now, I'm only using the browser and the Discord app, yet the system is using 15GB is this normal? What could be the reason for this?I bought the computer about a year ago, and it was reinstall a few weeks ago. I remember that this issue didn't occur around two months ago.It doesn't even add up to that much.
