when I go to the repair area on my dell pc it is locked & it says I need a bitlocker key what is that & where do I get it

when I go to the repair section after I pressed F-12 on my dell inspiron pc 3891 I get the message you need a bitlocker key. What is that and where do I get one. the pc is working just fine as is but I do miss the repair section.
