What the heck just happened with windows update?

Installing today's monthly update (KB5053598)The installation got stuck for a while on 93% and i accidentally paused updates and restarted them, installation jumped to 100% and when I restarted to update, it got stuck on 0% at the "keep your computer on" screen, so after 20 mins I forced a shut down and it began to finally update properly, windows update shows it went successfully.sfc /scannow found no violations either.This is a new windows 11 laptop
