PIN suddenly required and I can't turn it off

A PIN is suddenly required and I don't want it. I have a system I've operated for over a year without a PIN. I want it to boot up unattended and not to lock.Settings are correct - Hello is off. netplwiz is unchecked. What else should I try to get it back to my desired configuration.
