Pin Issues

I was having mouse pointer issues and saw some advice to try a basic startup using msconfig.When I re-started with the basic startup I can no longer login because "Something happened and your pin isn't available, click to set up your pin again". When I do that I asks if I want to "search for app in the store" I need to install an app for this task, would I like to search for one in the store? I have a second account on the PC which is a basic user account and it wont let me open settings and when I try to upgrade to an admin account I need my pin, which is obviously not working anymore.
