My Microsoft Photos App suddenly won't load anymore. What could be wrong?

My Microsoft Photos App suddenly won't load anymore. It initially appears on screen but with no photo images. After a few seconds it is unresponsive and disappears from the screen. I can't even open it as administrator. What could be wrong?
