Multiple Displays--Other Display not Detected

[Microsoft Windows]

I have (2) all in one del computers I am trying to use (1) computer as a monitor for screen shairng. I have connected both computers using an HDMI cable with a DVI adaptor. Neither one of the computers will detect one another one selecting to "Detect other display."
