Is there some way to by pass the screen asking me to press the esc button to bring up "Start-Up-Menu"?

I basically have a new computer, though it is a few years old, it's never been used, sitting in our equipment room in waiting as it were.My wife's health took a turn for the worse, my total focus went to being her 24/7 caregiver, never to even set this device up.I am now in need to get this computer operable to continue my work with her incredible recorded message's, but can't seem to reach the "Startup Menu".
