I tried to upgrade the RAM on my computer and now it will not turn on.

I have been using 2x8GB sticks, and they're not keeping up with my needs. I upgraded to 2x16GB sticks (I checked compatibility), which should have been plug-and-play, and now my computer will not turn on. I can't access the BIOS screen. I put the original RAM back and still nothing. I attempted to clear the CMOS by removing the motherboard battery and shorting the CLRTC pins with a screwdriver, as instructed in the manual. Still nothing, with either set of RAM. (All of this was done with the computer fully disconnected from power, and after holding down the power button for 30 seconds each tim
