How to copy NTUSER.DAT to another drive?

Hello, I have recently installed Windows 10 to a new drive, and I want to migrate all of my user data and files from my backup (on a separate local drive within the same system) to my new installation of Windows 10.I am aware that registry files can be rough to edit or move, but I haven't found any working guides online for how to migrate user profiles from within the same PC. The profile migration wizard seems to only work with the idea that you're moving between a network, or requires scanning from a currently-logged user, then moving to a different PC to copy them over.
