How do I make my laptop prompt me to sign in with a PIN after it is woken up from the "sleep" option?

When I turn my laptop on the "sleep" option on the windows start menu, and then afterwards wake it up. Instead of going back to the lock screen, it straight up logs into the computer. This is a huge problem because people can just open up my laptop for it to be logged in, and just mess around with it without my permission. For the record, my laptop used to prompt me to sign in with a pin when it wakes from sleep. How do I change this so that way there is an extra layer of security on my laptop?
