Help full reset of HP Envy without recovery id

I have a HP Envy that belonged to my father when I try to full wipe it it asks for a recovery key I don’t have it and am trying to completely wipe the pc but when I try to skip it it fails and says there’s an error and I can’t reset the pc what do I do??
