Computer stuck on update at 26% for over 2 hours, can I restart without hurting it?

[Windows 11]

My computer has been doing some kind of update and has been stuck at 26% for at least 2 hours. It says to keep it on but I really need to work now. Would force shutting it down hurt it at this point?
