FSecure. The virus program was the first one to suspect when I got my
problem. I uninstalled the old version and installed the latest. But the
problem still was there when FSecure was uninstalled..

This didn't help either...

I have check the registry, and it seemed to be V 3.1.4000.4039 that was the
newest one.

Just to be sure i installed it once more....but it does not help. My problem
is still there.

Did you configure FSecure the way mentioned in the MSKB article above?
See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900638 too.

Some more time with me, the computer and the reset button.

I have tried to exclude the listed files from the virusscan.....but without
any result.

By the way, I could not find any Wsusscan.cab

Anyway, I do not think it is likely that my antivirus application is the
reason for the problem. The computer was still "freezing" when I had
uninstalled Fsecure (before upgrading to a newer version).

The very same applies to the \SoftwareDistribution folder and it's
subfolders.

Then it *may* be another application running in the background of your
system. It's *not* a general issue any longer with KB927891v3 and WUA3.0
installed. I'm sorry to be not a help in your situation but you can open
a call with MS's PSS and see if they can identify the problem on your
system and solve the problems you're seeing. In case you'll find a solution,
please post back into this thread. Thanks!

Good luck,
Freudi
