Acer Aspire A314-22 Touchpad Issue

For the past week I’ve had problems with my touchpad, to the point where it would lag (display latency and moving a moment after being dragged), or even stutter all over the screen. To fix this temporarily, I pressed F7 constantly to refresh the touchpad. All of a sudden, my touchpad does not display a cursor anymore. I tried plugging in a mouse and this did not work either. I checked it in device manager and found the Code 10 error for the I2C HID device. I tried uninstalling it, updating it, disabling it and nothing worked.
