Yet more upgrade questions (inlcuding error 0x80248007)

I have a Win11 laptop that is doing the much reported error 0x80248007 when trying to upgrade to 23H2. It's clear there's a very rare Microsoft bug here - hardly ever happens - and the advice seems to be do it manually, but I have concerns with my Linux partition. I had this once before with an older laptop in that doing this kind of "sidegrade" really borked my computer and stopped me booting into Linux. Took me a load of time to fix it. Does anyone know, doing this manually, is this going to screw up my Linux boot? Anyopne got experience of this and/or know how to prevent it causing me hours
