Word history

Someone gave me a Word document that I need to use as a model. I

started deleting old values, and it just created crossed-out blue

versions. I saved my document and opened it and still have the

history.



My Word is up-to date Word for Windows. How do I turn off this

history bit?

Why are you posting a question about Word in an XP group? Word is NOT part

of Windows and never has been.

And when you do post you need to provide the exact version of Word you have.

"Up-to date Word for Windows" is meaningless. If you don't know the version

Office 2007 changed the rules from Windows standards. I learned how

Windows worked, I knew where to find my version, and then in Office

2007, Microsoft moved the Help-About. I suppose they must have had

a reason.

Right click the status line of Word 2007. It's one of the options.
