Wny did my PC D: drive wipe almost everything off itself?

Randomly loaded up my PC to find around 800GB of data just wiped off my D Drive no reasons or anything i restarted my pc and it restored nothing and for some reason it kept 1 random steam game and almost nothing else like photos or other apps such as spotify, if anyone has an idea why this happened or how to fix it a solution would be appreciated.
