I've been using my Surface Pro 3 as a wireless monitor for a couple months, it's connected to a router less than a meter away, and my desktop, which has a PCIe wifi adapter bought specifically to make Miracast work, is connected over Ethernet. The experience has been pretty good for the past 2 months, nearly no artifacting, almost no latency, no disconnects... I did notice that to get it working this well, I simply had to select "Gaming" in the drop-down menu of the little Wireless Display settings at the top of the screen, I do that every time, but I've tried the other 2 modes and they don't
