Wireless Display Adapter App works only with location sharing, why?

i made an interesting discovery today. i wanted to update my wireless display adapters in our company. I use the newest version of the wireless display adapter app Version 4.2.32.137.0.By default is the sharing of our location for all apps deactivated. After connecting to the adapter, the app crashes. I tried it from several devices.After activating the location sharing for the app, everything works fine.Why ist the Location necessary for the configuration of the wireless adapter? I don't want to share my location.
