In Windows XP home edition using the clasic start menu how do I get

the Quick Launch bar to stay showing?

Every time I start Windows I have to go to the Start, Taskbar menu and

click to show the Quick Launch bar. Can't it be set to stay showing??

TIA

Hi,

After your settings are in place run: Save Settings on Exit from line 54

Kelly,

I was thinking about running your save settings file to resolve an issue I

have. Prior to running such things I'm in the habit of looking at what will

happen and try to understand what is taking place. In your file you are

setting the key "SystemTray"="SysTray.Exe" in HKLM...Run. Currently I have

the key "SigmatelSysTrayApp"="stsystra.exe" which I'm assuming involves the

properties of the system tray which is on the right side of the taskbar and

contains the clock, volume icon, etc. If I merge your reg file with mine I

assume I'll have two "system trays" running. Will this be a problem?

For the record - WXP Pro SP3 fully updated. on a Dell machine.

Sorry, no idea what you are referring too. Perhaps there is some advert

on that page that your browser isn't blocking?
