windows will not reboot after restore

I have a gateway desktop with windows 10 upgrade installed. Ran system restore which stopped on reboot. The computer will not reboot---can go to boot menu and no further. Will ms provide a way to reset the computer if I have the key code. It came with 8.1 loaded--no system disks and since Gateway was purchased by Acer I can't find system disks available. Help!
