windows update

in my laptop i have original windows xp service pack 2.
i connet this laptop to my company domain network as workgroup. at the time
of opening internet explorer they ask the server connection user name and
password. i try to update windows, at the time of installation that ask one
"Enter the credential username and password". What actually is this user name
and password. how can i resolve this problem.
 
that means probably that your company's network need credentials to enter
internet explorer just ask your network administrator about credentials and
they will tell you what is is

well it is almost not possible to get trough that your network administrator
built it that way so no-one unauthorized will get in his system.... only
possible way is.... learn how to hack ;)

i am the network administrator i try to solve that problem. i explain in my
first letter that i connect one lap top to comapy domain. if i donot have
permission, how i do this.
first please read the message then replay.
if you can give other wise keep calm.

it can not allow.
we want to change any thing in theserver.
i bought two new computer windows XP service pack 1 and i entered in to the
domain and update the windows but it shows windows installation failed. that
laptop shows the only "enter the credential usernam and password". i have two
doubt one may be laptop using two proxy server connection?
two laptop connect the company domain as workstation?.
is there any setting to clear this problem?

dont know what you mean..... what windows instalation what is your situation
how big is your network what os you use how much domain controllers plz tell
me more 'bout your system and post some screenies...!!:)
