Windows Update Encountering Same Error Every Day When Trying To Update To Windows 10

I am on a work computer that has Windows 7 installed. Some of our computers have been automatically (forcibly) being updated to Windows 10. I have Windows 10 on my home computer, so I wouldn't mind having this work computer updated to Windows 10 and just get it out of the way.

When I go to "Windows Update", it looks like this computer has tried to update to Windows 10 but failed. I want to clarify that I have never tried to manually update to Windows 10. But it appears my computer has tried multiple times to automatically update to Windows 10. I've checked the last few mornings (I reboot my computer at the end of every work day), and each morning when I open up the Control Panel and go to Windows Update, I see the following notification:

"Windows 10 couldn't be installed

Failed: 1 update

Error(s) found: C1900101-20017 Windows Update encountered an unknown error."

When I click "get help with this error", it opens a window that says "0 results for 'WindowsUpdate_C1900101' 'WindowsUpdate_dt000'". Wow. Real helpful.

In that same above "Windows 10 couldn't be installed" error window, when I click "Try Again", the red "X" logo changes to the green check mark logo and says "No important updates available." So it effectively deletes the update? I'm not really sure. It also then says "12 optional updates available." I click on the 12 optional updates and there are 12 various updates listed. I will summarize them as I can't copy just the names of them (I can "copy details" but that gives me a whole essay-length set of text).

4 updates that are "Update for Windows 7 for x64-based systems" which are "to resolve issues in Windows".

1 "Update for Windows 7 for x64-based systems" that has to do with remote desktop.

1 software update for an HP printer.

1 software update for a Kyocera printer.

1 Dell system driver update released in May 2015.

1 Preview of Quality Rollup for .NET framework "to resolve issues in Windows".

1 Preview of Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64-based systems "to resolve issues in Windows".

2 "Microsoft Security Essentials" updates that have to do with anti-malware software.

Don't know if any of that has to do with updating to Windows 10. Probably not.

So in short, I am wondering why, every single day, my machine is encountering the same "unknown error" and saying "Windows 10 couldn't be installed". I'd like to just get it out of the way now, and it looks like my computer wants to as well, but it keeps encountering the same error, and clicking "Try Again" does essentially nothing, as I described above. Does anyone know how to get rid of this error or fix this so that my computer can be updated to Windows 10?

Thanks
