Windows update causing BitLocker recovery screen at startup

Hi all. I am having issues with my Lenovo Idea pad that I just recently purchased. After a recent update, I Turned on the laptop and was greeted with an error in bios and then it booted to the BitLocker recovery screen. I entered the recovery key as instructed and it sent me into a loop of booting and returning to that screen. I was able to do a little reset where I unplugged the power source and held down the power button for 1 minute, then plugged it back in and turned it on.
