Windows Time is out of sync and can't be synchronized

I can't seem to synchronize the built-in windows clock. It's out of sync by 75 seconds (which may affect some network performance, I believe). When I go to settings and click "Sync now", it runs for a minute and then displays an error "Time synchronization failed. Please check network connectivity and retry".
