Windows taskbar wont hide in full screen applications.

hello, so my taskbar recently will suddenly unhide, ill be playing a full screen game, i alt tab to something else or click into a different application and suddenly my taskbar is on top of the game/fullscreen application. the options i have on in my settings for my taskbar areautomatically hide taskbar both in tablet and desktop mode. lock taskbar is off. i have tried searching for this issue. nothing comes up or the issue is different. i will even press F11 and the application changes, but the taskbar remains on screen. cutting off the bottom. ive been having this issue for a few months now
