I understand this has been asked a few hundred times...
I've been stuck at 'Please wait...' during a System Restore, it's been over an hour. The restore point I picked to go back to was 10 minutes into the past. I had reinstalled Internet Explorer under Programs and Features, and after my computer rebooted from that, all of my aliases for the command prompt stopped working, although my .bat file was in the same place and had not changed.
How can it take over an hour to go back in time 10 minutes, when the only change was an install of Internet Explorer? A normal install or uninstall of Internet Explorer takes a few seconds and a restart and that's it. I've got work to do.
There has got to be a better way guys. Come on.
