windows sign in password

Hi, I've just got a new pc and I'm trying to sign into my account through the settings and account menu on the home page.the first screen just asks me to input my normal Microsoft email and password and it works but then the second screen asks, 'please input your current windows password'I tried using the same password as the previous screen which didn't work, I've also tried resetting my Microsoft password and reattempting but it didn't work.The PC is a brand new pre built and I didn't log into windows prior to this so I'm unsure what to do from here.thanks
