Windows Security Offline Scan Not Functional

Hello,Windows Security - MS Defender Antivirus (offline scan) is non-functional.If I select it and click Scan Now, it prompts me to save my work, then prompts for an Administrator's Password and after that is given - nothing. The Admin Password window closes and nothing happens. The screen just returns to the Scan Options page under Windows Security.This is for a machine running Windows 11 Pro, Version 24H2, Build 26100.2894 with all updates successfully installed.If I attempt this scan after rebooting in Safe Mode - the Windows Security screen is blank white with no options visible at all.H
