Windows scan app not working

Installed Windows Scan app to use in Windows 11 Pro. Scanner is a Fujitsu fi-7160 (which works fine on its own). Scanner is capable of scanning both sides simultaneously and I want an app that works this way, which this app appears to do. Set my doc type and size. Set the destination file. I left the resolution setting at the default (because those numbers mean nothing to me). Document scans, but then immediately an error appears "Something Went Wrong". It will work when I turn off "both sides", but that defeats the entire purpose of me using the app.
