I am familiar with how to rename a batch of photos - I have over 10k on my hard drive. The issue I'm having is that Windows is assigning the same value to multiple files. For example, I keyed in the word "PHOTO," nothing fancy, when renaming the files. Now Windows is supposed to assign that value (PHOTO to each file followed by sequential numbering, right? The issue is that I now have multiple number one's, number two's, number 3's, etc. In fact, after checking further, as I look at the photos, Windows has assigned the value PHOTO (1) to the first three photos, assigned the value PHOTO (2) to the next three photos (which should be 4, 5, and 6), and so on. Anyone know what my computer is up to?
