Windows not recognising Sony WH-1000XM5 microphone.

I have paired the Sony WH-1000XM5 to my surface laptop running Microsoft Windows 10 EnterpriseI can connect the headphones to the laptop fine, however it does not recognise the microphone so cannot use it for teams calls. Headphones works fine with Teams when I pair the headset via my iPhone or iPad
