Windows mute button (f5) light not working

So, last night, I installed the Clownfish voice changer, which opened the command prompt and required updating the existing audio devices for it to function. It worked perfectly, but now the laptop's speaker and mic mute key lights (f5 & f8) are not lighting up. I have uninstalled the software, however this did not fix the issue.If there is a way that I can keep the software and for my lights to work, that'd be great help.
