Surf the web much? That happens on various pages at various times.

Likely - you do have a problem specific to your computer, however. Likely
something that you allowed to be done to it (may have even requested) - not
necessarily your fault - but your involvement has to be there (or another
user.)

First off - try this (ignore the title...):

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP
installation
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943144

Do both methods, rebooting for good measure afterwards. Then visit
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ again and do a custom scan for updates
(you will likely be asked to install something before you get to that
point - do so.) If that doesn't work - come back and let us know more
information about your system. What AV software you utilize, etc.

In addition - check your DNS settings (on your computer and if applicable -
your Internet router.)

There are known attacks that get at your router - not your computer.

Ping the site. Tracert the site. Do an IPCONFIG /ALL on your computer.
Report the results here.
