Windows keeps trying to use my old email address to send verification codes

I changed the email address on my Microsoft account. It used to be *** Email address is removed for privacy *** now it is *** Email address is removed for privacy *** I can see in my account that it says "The email address you use to sign in to your Microsoft account" right next to *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and Microsoft lets me log in with *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, but Windows keeps asking to send a code to ol****@example.com to verify my identity. When I tell it to send a code to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, no code is sent to that address.
