Windows Defender Scam?

Hello,On Saturday my computer locked up with a voice message stating I needed to call Microsoft Defender Security ASAP. When I called I' afraid I talked to them too long. I was told their team was busy working on the problem. I was to leave my laptop on, don't use any devices and they would contact me on Monday. Is this legit?Doug

I think I got the defender pop up scam and gave the person remote access to help me run diagnostics because I believed they were from Microsoft.
