Windows Defender Real time protection won't turn on

Hello everyone,

I have Windows 10 installed on my HP laptop. I don't have any other anti-virus tool on my PC, but Windows Defender still won't turn on real time protection(it shows real time protection is "Handled by another AV program"). I used Malwarebytes antimalware and Quick Heal earlier but uninstalled them, to use Windows Defender. I also cleaned the registry using CC Cleaner and restarted, but still it won't turn on. Please help me.Or else please suggest another good & free anti-virus for Windows 10.
