Hi Everyone,
I Have a new computer with windows 10. I'm using Windows Defender as my Antivirus, but I keep getting a message at least once a day stating "Windows Defender needs to scan your computer" in the notification action center.
Is there a way to stop this notification?
Because of this, sometimes when I open Defender, it says my computer is not being protected. I thought I could just switch Defender on and leave it. It does update itself automatically, but I thought it protected my computer automatically also. I would personally only run a scan every month or so because I don't put my computer at risk of viruses.
Surely by enabling real time protection, and the fact it updates definitions itself, I shouldn't have to run a scan unless I'm worried about a potential risk!
I have read similar queries about this problem, but they all use CCleaner. I don't, so my issue is something else. There isn't a tools menu either.
This notification shouldn't be happening. Can anyone help?
Many thanks!
