Windows calendar does not open and instead "redirects" to outlook after windows update

I can't open my windows calendar anymore after doing an update today. Instead, when I open the calendar app, outlook is opened. Is this a new "feature"? None of my appointments are saved in the outlook calendar and I would like my old calendar back.Thanks
