Windows and settings not opening on windows 11

Yesterday I bought a windows 11 gaming pc. When I created an account, the pc booted up perfectly and applications work perfectly. Now whenever I try to open windows(via keyboard or the icon) or try to open settings, neither loads up. I tried open settings using ms-settings: and few other ways, but all still result in the app now opening. Is there anyway to possibly fix this?
