Windows Activation Problem

Hello,I had bought a windows 8 license and activated it in my personal laptop (Laptop 1). When my laptop changed, I moved the license to my new personal laptop (Laptop 2). Then I got the Laptop 2 upgraded to Windows 10. After I got another new laptop (Laptop 3) and reset my Laptop 2, the license wouldn't work. Why is it so? My understanding was that the license became digital license as that is what was being shown in my Activation Settings in Laptop 2. However, when I connect my Microsoft account to Laptop 3 the license doesn't get used and it still shows the activation error. What should I d
