Although this question has been ask and answered, I have to ask again.
Initially, KB2793210 and KB2795944 failed to install but gave no indication of failure. Windows 8 went into a 'Shutting Down / Restart' holding pattern for approximately two hours when I manually shut it down. Reviewing the installed updates showed a failure
to install for both updates. A second attempt to install the updates was successful but the failure to shutdown and restart persists.
I followed all the suggestions in the problem resolution but the problem continues. In running the update scan, as administrator, the scan finds an error, reports it as fixed but any subsequent scan finds the same error and reports the problem fixed.
I will have to wait for another update to know if the problem is resolved but, at some point, shouldn't the scan report 'no problems found'?
