Windows 7 Update error 80004005

A windows update keeps failing with the error code 80004005. I have run the Windows

Update Troubleshooter, which identified two issues it could not fix:

- Service registation is missing or corrupt
- Windows Update error 0x80070057 (2019-03-28-T-07_32-16A)

Can anyone suggest how to fix these?
