Windows 7 pro invalidated after windows update

I have a Lenovo E531 ThinkPad purchased in 2014. The Windows sticker says Windows 8 Pro, but I had the retailer prepare it with Windows 7 Pro before I took delivery. I recently replaced upgraded to a SSD and installed W-7 Pro and activated with the product key from the old HDD. All was fine for a month or so, until the most recent windows update (automatic, not manual) and now the system tells me my Windows is not genuine.

At first I thought perhaps I needed to somehow un-register the old HDD?? I ran licensecrawler to find the license, and tried re-entering to validate and got the following error. I updated the BIOS on the machine before swapping disks and reinstalling windows:
